Victoria Rathgeb, also known as Angela Dorian, 1968 Playboy Playmate of the Year and Hollywood actress, was charged on Tuesday in Los Angeles with shooting her husband, Bruce Rathgeb.
According to LA police, Victoria Rathgeb was involved in a domestic dispute with her husband. “We investigated all possible angles to the story and came to the conclusion that she most certainly did shoot her husband,” said the LA police spokesman of Rathgeb. The shooting was described by the police as the result of a long-standing dispute between the couple, although there had not been any previous involvement from police with the couple.
“Her husband is in extremely critical condition with significant injuries,” said the police spokesman.
Victoria Rathgeb is being held in lieu of $1.5 million bail and has a court date scheduled for November 1. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Rathgeb began her acting career in 1962 in various TV episodes and movies but it was posing in Playboy that has garnered the most attention during the reporting of this incident.
